I'm free!
10
It was one of those button-apparently-didn’t-register things… I was busy and didn’t follow up to ensure I got credit for the click.
I’m not actually upset about it. I thought I would be, and in the past when I screwed up relatively shorter streaks, I was irritated.
But I’m free. I’m fuckin’ FREE!! I have clicked the button from many states, and from countries all over the world, including England, Scotland, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Greece, Luxembourg, Belgium, Tunisia, Russia, India, Canada, Mexico, Spain, Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Estonia, and Japan. I may be missing one or two…
I don’t even know why, but I clicked. I clicked every day for well over 5 years, and for years before that during other streaks. Today will be the first day since I joined Meh over 11 years ago that I’m not going to bother clicking. And it isn’t going to bother me to not bother clicking.
At midnight tonight, I’m going to do something else.
And that feels… better than just meh!

You felt your sins un-crawl on your back.
DAMN this streak is almost as old as my younger brother.

@therealjrn jury’s still out on that
I somehow left out France, Austria, Puerto Rico, Bahamas, Iceland, and Sicily (though that might be covered under Italy)…
@shahnm
And PR is actually part of the US of course.
Kills me how airlines will consider that an international flight sometimes!
@chienfou Yes, true of course. With that said, if you ask many of the locals, they call themselves Puerto Ricans first… Actually, that goes double for the Sicilians, with respect to Italy. Hell, the Catalan Spanish don’t seem to like conceding that they’re, in fact, part of Spain…
/showme shahnm as a house elf overjoyed at receiving a sock
@werehatrack I look a little like a house Irk…
Never really bought into (or, I guess, even totally understood) the whole meh button thing. Congrats on regaining a small piece of your day back.
TBH I am much more impressed, and somewhat jealous of, your travel list! Kudos.
