@Cerridwyn Accounting has the taste of spreadsheets. I always thought Engineering tasted like flow charts. Except for Civil Engineering, which I would advise against tasting, especially if it includes water treatment plants.
@rockblossom Engineering can taste like Autocad and a number of other software packages as well, depending on the field in which the engineering is being done. Spreadsheets? Yes, for things that require tracking the effects of small changes in a complicated but easily modeled structure, I’m told that it can be very useful to employ one. (That’s from a ChemE, but I suspect it may be true for others as well.) Overall, modern engineering tends to taste like math.
