@Kyeh I was gonna post this but since she died Dec. 31st I didn’t think it belonged in this thread even though her death wasn’t reported until after the 1st. She was unique, that’s for sure!
One of Hollywood’s worst weeks just got worse. David Lynch, the four-time Oscar-nominated filmmaker behind Blue Velvet, Mulholland Drive, Eraserhead, Wild at Heart, The Elephant Man and others who also created the Showtime drama Twin Peaks, has died. He was 78…
“Ueck was the light of the Brewers, the soundtrack of our summers, the laughter in our hearts, and his passing is a profound loss,” the Brewers said in a statement. “He was the heart and soul of Wisconsin and a dear friend. Bob loved people; his presence warmed every room and he had a way of welcoming all of us into his world as if we were lifelong friends.”
Garth Hudson, whose fantastical approach to the organ and virtuosity on a panoply of other instruments lent a distinctive touch to the roots-rock of the Canadian-American group the Band, has died, representatives for the group have confirmed. Hudson “passed away peacefully in his sleep” Tuesday morning at a nursing home in the Band’s longtime home base of Woodstock, New York, the musician’s estate executor told the Toronto Star. He was 87.
Dick Button, whose passionate and often tart commentary on figure skating competitions became a television staple over six decades and made him the sport’s unofficial spokesman, died on Thursday in North Salem, N.Y. He was 95.
This most likely belongs in the Political bullshit thread but it’s only slightly political.
While she is not famous, I feel that this little girl needs to be remembered. This occurred in a town not far from me. I hope those that drove her to this sadness feel guilty and actions be taken against the school administrators that allowed the bullying to continue to happen.

Most recent news suggest that she died of a Hanta-virus infection, and he died of some heart-related incident days later.
It was also reported that he had suffered from some degree of dementia and may have been unaware of what happened to her.
"Hackman and Arakawa died of natural causes, authorities shared during a March 7 news conference, but natural causes—as opposed to accident, homicide, etc.—can still encompass a number of head-scratching circumstances.
Arakawa died of hantavirus pulmonary syndrome, likely on Feb. 11, the last day she was seen alive in town, Chief Medical Examiner Heather Jarrell told reporters. Hackman apparently lived another week before he died of heart disease, according to the coroner, his pacemaker last showing activity on Feb. 18.
Hackman was in an “advanced state of Alzheimer’s,” Jarrell said, “and it’s quite possible that he was not aware” that his wife was dead.
Hantavirus, meanwhile, is a rare respiratory illness caused by exposure to contaminated rodent droppings, urine and saliva that initially presents with flu-like symptoms, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. New Mexico state public health veterinarian Erin Phipps said that there was a “low risk” of exposure from the couple’s house, but other structures on their property showed signs of rodents.
Their dog Zinna was also dead when the Hackmans’ bodies were discovered.
The 12-year-old Australian Kelpie mix was found in the same bathroom as Betsy’s body- just 10 to 15 feet from her owner.
The dog had been locked in a crate after having a medical procedure, and there was no food in its stomach.
Two other dogs who were roaming free at the home survived.
While police are still waiting for the dog’s necropsy results, New Mexico State Public Health Veterinarian Erin Phipps suggested that dehydration and starvation are two likely causes that Zinna died when the other pets survived."
