@Num1Zero Who is the “Professional” refurbisher and certifier? Is it the SAME person?? Does it come with a certified Certificate of Refurbishment Certification???
How are these things without an app? Is there a web interface you can connect to, or are there physical controls sufficient for normal operation? I may take the time to look at the manual and other reviews before the deal’s up, but for now I’m curious if any of you have used one of these.
@gnafuthemeh It has a “clean” button, and a “dock” button, that’s it for physical controls.
Not sure if the clean button (for the whole house) will work until you use the app to map out the house or not. [I would hope it would just clean as much as it could…but you never know…]

My wife has been wanting to get a robot vac since we tore up our old carpeting to reveal beautiful hardwood floors, but I refuse to get something that requires a proprietary app. I haven’t done any research yet, but I guess I should expect anything cheap will be unusable without an app.
@gnafuthemeh Ah, yup… I haven’t done research either but I’m not aware of any that don’t require a proprietary app. The app is used heavily for defining room and rug boundaries and so on, so I’d say it’s pretty integrated at least for this vac.
I had a shark robot vac a bought as a referb from a similar deal site. It was fine. For this price it is a pretty good deal. But, once you start down the robo-vac path, and see what the more expensive ones can do, let’s just say the Shark started me down a somewhat expensive road. But, its a good value at this price.
@KevinW I chose the meh path and got crappier ones with the intent of using my rudimentary hacking skillzz to raise their IQ. They’re still pretty dumb.
Mine only came with one microfiber cloth mop pad and no cleaning solution…? I ordered two of them and neither of them came with the second pad or cleaning solution so I don’t think this was a one off fluke.

@Tperry1379 Mine didn’t come with it. Seems kinda shady of Meh to not include it. According to Shark they are not sold separately.
I have this and love it. App is required. Not without some minor annoyances but great for $100 or less. Would rebuy at this price if mine died.

has anyone used this with golden retrievers or other long-haired dogs? I could just dedicate it to the porch.
@pskemp2 I was unable to get my dogs to lie still, so I’ve had to stick with brushing them.
