Pretty sure my car wouldn’t go anywhere near this. Except for the box it came in. Definitely going for that instead.

And I thought getting sent to the doghouse would be uncomfortable. Will this be sold as part of a bundle of items for you and your pet to train with or get bitten trying, along with a mix of fresher dog food than stale human snacks, and of course, the orange camping tent to block the rain…
@PooltoyWolf an Opossum might like it. We put an (empty) roofed litter box on our deck (not for an Opossum, we just temporarily put it outside)… An opossum moved in and lived on our deck for about 6 months.
@OnionSoup@phendrick@PooltoyWolf Having a lid on the box also greatly reduces the amount of litter that is slung out when the cat energetically digs, either making a hole or covering something. We have one like that, although it only gets used when one of the cats has to be relegated to the front bathroom for infirmary reasons. (Squeaker is in there on a special diet until he clears the last of the urinary crystals he developed. We suspect it was caused by a batch of kibble we’d never previously bought, but which appears potentially problematic.) (Sometime we let Mamama in there to visit. Squeaker does not like being alone.)
@AaronLeeJohnson@Kidsandliz@pmarin My nephew liked to put himself inside the dog’s crate (it was a very large crate). And then when he figured out how to open the beer fridge, he’d lock himself in it with a beer (unopened, luckily lacked that dexterity). Kids are weird. (Mine just ate dog food…we also had no crate.)
@kittykat9180@PhysAssist My next-door neighbors have 3 Mastiffs (M,F,F - the boy is >200lbs), plus a Labradoodle (M). I shudder to think about their food/vet/grooming bills (or the amount of drool they must need to clean up daily).
@kittykat9180@PhysAssist My eldest daughter and son-in-law had a big male Mastiff for a while - she said she got tired of cleaning slobber off the ceiling (flung there when Titus (the dog) shook his big old head).

Cat will just use the box it comes in

@katbyter your car definitely wouldn’t fit in it.
@katbyter We also store our cats in boxes.

Would this be a good place for an opossum to sleep? Asking for a friend.

@OnionSoup @PooltoyWolf “roofed litter box”?
Why roofed?
@phendrick @PooltoyWolf “lidded” - keeps smells in. Some cats don’t like the lid though.
@OnionSoup @phendrick @PooltoyWolf Having a lid on the box also greatly reduces the amount of litter that is slung out when the cat energetically digs, either making a hole or covering something. @OnionSoup @phendrick @PooltoyWolf I had a litter box that had a top cover. It was a Pain to remove when I need to change the litter box, so I removed.
Right size for my dogs. But they don’t deserve this. Pass
@dpease Wrong size for mine, but I’m sure she’d wedge herself in, and then require help.
@brainmist There are few things I’ve seen that were funnier than a Great Pyr trying to curl up inside a plastic crate half his length, like a cat.
@dpease lots of dogs (mine among them) like having a cage / “personal space”. Getting this for “on the go”
@Pufferfishy my dogs already have a crate, and that’s all they’re gonna get until they shape up and fly right

I feel like this would work for any animal other than a dog or a cat. Including human children.
@AaronLeeJohnson well, it says
So apparently, yes.
@AaronLeeJohnson @pmarin
This?
The kid was in there by choice and wanted the door shut. Then he started meowing like a cat. Said kid is now 12.
@AaronLeeJohnson @Kidsandliz @pmarin WONDERFUL!!! Ohhhh, I miss the daze when I could fit in small places.
@AaronLeeJohnson @Kidsandliz @pmarin My nephew liked to put himself inside the dog’s crate (it was a very large crate). spot clean only. NOPE
@triplebud I meannnn, did you expect the indoor pet house to be machine washable?
If it were bigger I’d order it.
27”x18” is pretty small, won’t fit much more than a cat.
@kittykat9180
/showme human in pet carrier
@kittykat9180 Agree- we bought the pet tent and IT was too small for even our 2 smaller [65 & 70#] dogs, much less our St. Bernard [@135#].
Granted we have kind of a niche situation, but a wider range of sizes would be helpful.

Maisey rode from the rescue in Kentucky to upstate NY in the back seat of a Jeep Cherokee like this…
@PhysAssist my last two dogs were 105 pounds.
@cfg83 cat with a c, not with a k. lol
@kittykat9180
So small-breed dogs, then…
The 65-70# ones we have now are/were anomalies for us.
We have always had giant-breeds prior to them, so the St. B. rescue was more like a return to normalcy for us.
SWMBO had a 200#[+] male St. B. when we met, and then we subsequently had 2 Newfies, an Irish Wolfhound, and another St. B. all concurrently.
After they had passed, we followed up with a boxer rescue and then an English Mastiff.
@kittykat9180 @PhysAssist My next-door neighbors have 3 Mastiffs (M,F,F - the boy is >200lbs), plus a Labradoodle (M). I shudder to think about their food/vet/grooming bills (or the amount of drool they must need to clean up daily).
@macromeh @PhysAssist I had one Neapolitan Mastiff and I had to scrub my walls of her slobber roughly every two weeks. One slobbery drooler was enough.
@kittykat9180 @PhysAssist My eldest daughter and son-in-law had a big male Mastiff for a while - she said she got tired of cleaning slobber off the ceiling (flung there when Titus (the dog) shook his big old head).
How many cats are needed on top to crush the roof in? Asking for research purposes.
@werehatrack
Depends on the cat.

@cfg83 @mediocrebot That would get a bit drafty in cold weather.
@mediocrebot @werehatrack But it’s great in August in SoCal.
Usually I’m a huge fan of soft bottoms, but in this case even a modest load would render the entire thing flaccid.
