@sammydog01 Thank you!! I puzzled over that one a while - trying to get it to look like the cat wasn’t a statue in the tank, so nice to hear that!

@jasneko @sammydog01 One of my cats went nuts when we had an aquarium (one of the smaller 6 sided ones). He wrapped his paws all the way around it going nuts he couldn’t get at the fish that way. Wish I had taken a photo (this was many years ago).

@Kidsandliz Oh wow, that must have been quite a sight!!

@jasneko It was pretty funny. And as gold fish interact with the outside world (If your tank is big enough they can live 20 years) and they are one of the smartest fish out there. He’d sit they watching them and tapping on the tank (after he realized he couldn’t get them) for ages. My other cat was scared of them and when I brought her over she did windmill legs trying to get away. She’d watch from a safe distance.

@Kidsandliz Whoa I had no idea goldfish live so long! Or that they interact and are smart! Gee, I remember them having a poor reputation when I was a kid (mainly that they are difficult to keep healthy). That’s so funny about your one cat tapping on the glass and the other so scared! She never got used to them I guess?

@jasneko They are hard to keep healthy as you need 5 gallons per gold fish and more as they get older. Most people don’t know that and don’t do that.

No the other cat wouldn’t come close but would watch them from a distance. I had to put a brick on top of the aquarium as the one cat starting to try to figure out other ways to get to them (was not successful).
