@kjady@mycya4me I would feel the same – I’m catless at the moment but, being out in the country, i definitely don’t want to put out a buffet for the squirrels, mice, etc., either! Although, the birds still like my yard because the fenced-in section probably feels safer to them, & the whole thing is overgrown enough to provide seeds, berries, acorns – a whole smorgasbord! And, fortunately, we have plenty of owls around to take care of some mice…
@kjady If you think about it, bird feeders are really efficiaent as mine is a combination bird-squirell-chipmunk-cat-hawk-fox feeder. You can add more animals when you’re away from urban areas too.
@tweezak Thankfully I have few of those here. But rats did try to move into the yard last month. Taken out 3 with the BB rifle so far and haven’t seen any more. One can hope.
Sorry I don’t want to open an all you can eat bird buffet for my cats.
