Robert is missing a Zap Xebra in his collection of shitty unique EVs. Granted, a number of them were subsequently recalled and crushed when they failed to actually meet FMVSS.
That was such a staggering horror show, on almost every level. It is amazing what people think they can do, just because they have too much money on their hands.
If you consider it as an ebike or an escooter that lets you stay dry and out of the wind is this any more ridiculous than other vehicles? People commute 5 or 6 miles by themselves in dually pickups. Or use monster SUVs to drive to the grocery store. Automotive companies spend millions of dollars in marketing to convince people that they need a large, expensive (and expensive to run) truck/SUV when in reality if there were a decent, non-highway, transportation system one of these would be ideal for most people who would just need the “last mile” and a little around town transport. (And see the comment above about the amount of money spent by car companies and the highway lobby before making comments about the US not wanting more options in transportation).
I had to google it cause well, had to
And first time I have seen this in the actual wild
@Cerridwyn and no, not the car thing

Hopefully they pulled the batteries out first!
@chienfou Most likely. The six lead acid batteries were probably the most valuable part of that vehicle.

/showme a street legal car made of dense foam and plastic
I’m not going to say that looks “better”… but it looks like it more accurately portrays its condition.
That is, it has a more honest appearance.
The other vehicle he mentions in the video is way more interesting.
@yakkoTDI How about one of the other EVs he owns?
@narfcake @yakkoTDI Oddly the “Wheego” name seems to “go” with the toilet stool on the main site today.
