Ugh… That describes my stomach today in one word! I started my day off by puking into the first bag I could grab because I wasn’t making it into the bathroom. It didn’t get much better than that until about an hour ago. I slept most of the day and I couldn’t be more grateful!
And how ironic that this was today’s pole… I was just going to blame the goat!
Thanks! It’s been 24 hours and I’m already feeling 95% better! I’m pretty sure it was just stomach bug and thankfully not the flu! My grandson who’s 10 years old woke up Christmas morning with the flu. The poor guys entire vacation is kinda shot.
Stomach is fine. Head and sinus feel like shit, sinus infection came back. I’m real sensitive to bariatric pressure changes and we’ve had a lot in past few days.
@Star2236
Oh no… I had misread the previous reply that @therealjrn wrote saying they were FINE, I thought it was from you Star. So I’m sitting here thinking WOW she went from being fine to having bronchitis really quick!
/giphy feel better guys
@Lynnerizer@Star2236@therealjrn A friend of mine once said "The F word for women is fine. As in, “you’re canceling our date to hang with your buddies? FINE.”
Yeah that F word can be just as meaningful if used correctly. As for the OTHER F word… My guy has always told me to watch my language when I swear, I used to be untamable , these days I appreciate it and try hard not to let myself slip. IMO… It really doesn’t sound nice to hear a woman who’s got gutter mouth!
@Lynnerizer@Star2236@therealjrn Haha - swearing doesn’t come naturally to me unless I’m REALLY MAD! Then I let it fly. But usually with nobody else listening.
@Kyeh@Lynnerizer@yakkoTDI Lol, you guys crack me up! I can’t technically speak for the yak, but that never stopped me before, so here goes: i think his overdose comment was referring to swear words being the painkillers, since there were so many flying in that gif of Nicole Richie. (I apologize if i misconstrued that whole exchange, i may be on the verge of lapsing into a pseudo coma… That’s my story & I’m sticking to it! )
@Kyeh@Lynnerizer@Star2236@therealjrn Oh, btw, in addition to lessening pain responses (i heard about that study, too, so it must be true! Lol), i also heard that cursing is a sign of intelligence, so all of us angry potty mouths must be f@ck1ng geniuses!
@therealjrn@yakkoTDI 50% is the difference between satisfyingly warm and cool on one side, cooler on the other. Should’ve remembered to add some salt first.
Okay-ish…
I had my first Colonoscopy this morning ( all is good). I’ve eaten normal since the procedure, but after not eating for 35-36 hours, then drinking the miracle elixir of bowel cleaning*, then spending the better part of 4 hours on the pot… it’s still a bit…off
*64 oz of gatorade, mixed with an entire bottle of Miralax. Drink 8 oz every 15 minutes…
@cfg83@earlyre My favorite part is waking up in the recovery room blasting all the excess air out of my gastrointestinal tract with the other patients. Giggles abound.
@cfg83@therealjrn no real excess air… i guess my guy does it a bit differently?( this was my first)
whole procedure was about 15 minutes…
7:30a appointment, had to be there @ 6:30a. they wheeled me into the room around 7:15-20ish, I was awake and getting dressed around 8am.
it had snowed the night before, and the Nurses were more concerned with my 80yr old Dad ( my Driver) getting out into the car safely than me…
I will say that Propofol is a heckuva drug…
I remember seeing the syringe going into my IV, and the next thing i know i was waking up in the recovery area…
@cfg83@earlyre Yeah, maybe, but I spent at least 15 minutes in the recovery room alone. Probably more like 20. I guess it depends on the procedure and what drugs were used.
@earlyre@Lynnerizer@cfg83@therealjrn
Congrats on the excellent results.
I had mine done at the hospital I work at so I took the opportunity to wear one of my Monty Python shirts.
The next day I was working in the ER and I made the comment that “I really showed my ass up on second floor yesterday”… it took them a minute to realize what I was talking about!
Oh and yes… Propofol. There’s a good reason we call it “milk of amnesia”
In between full and emtpy.
@yakkoTDI But is that a good or bad or … meh … thing?
@cfg83 This time of day it is normal. Lunch is around 02:30 Eastern.
Just had dinner. Eating one of those Trader Joe’s christmas cookies :
@cfg83 Oh, those are good!
I’ll lift my shirt; you tell me.
@phendrick hmm, it feels squishy and hairy.
@phendrick @kittykat9180–I just literally laughed out loud at that.
@Kyeh @phendrick
@kittykat9180 @Kyeh that wasn’t my tummy.
@kittykat9180 @Kyeh @phendrick
@kittykat9180 @phendrick @yakkoTDI

@Kyeh @phendrick @yakkoTDI
Then whose was it?
@kittykat9180 @Kyeh @yakkoTDI
IDK, I’ve been home.
Only careless people venture out on NYE.
Don’t you pay attention to whose tummy you rub? Or is NYE an exception? We’re you in New Orleans?
@kittykat9180 @Kyeh @phendrick TMI, dude!
@cfg83 @kittykat9180 @Kyeh That might qualify for both squishy and hairy.
I’m blasting multi-second tuba farts every 20 minutes but I live alone so that’s more than okay.
@brennyn
Thanks for sharing…
@brennyn No one to share/compete with? Sad…
@brennyn One tuba doesn’t make for a very good orchestra. Brass is good, but at least add some more “winds”.
Soft
Ugh…

@Lynnerizer Flu?? Hope you feel better! Stay hydrated!
@Tadlem43

I’m pretty sure it was just stomach bug and thankfully not the flu! My grandson who’s 10 years old woke up Christmas morning with the flu.
The poor guys entire vacation is kinda shot.
@Lynnerizer @Tadlem43
Man nothing worse than spending your vacation stuck in bed.
Fantastic.
Started the day with three doughnuts and coffee.
Great! Cold here, so made biscuits and gravy to use the oven to warm the house a bit. Don’t do it often, but so good I licked the plate.
@user43047826
A friend of mine’s cat likes to make biscuits.
My tummy feels…meh.
Hungry
Stomach is fine. Head and sinus feel like shit, sinus infection came back. I’m real sensitive to bariatric pressure changes and we’ve had a lot in past few days.
@Star2236 Can confirm. My bad hip and knee have been particularly vexed during these fronts moving thru.
@Star2236

Aww that stinks!
Feel better soon!
@Star2236
🫶
I’m fine, thanks @Lynnerizer!
@Lynnerizer
Actually turned into bronchitis, sucks.
@Lynnerizer @Star2236

/giphy I’m fine!
@Star2236

/giphy get well soon!
@Star2236
@therealjrn - “I’m FINE”…
F- f@cked up
I- insecure
N- neurotic
E- emotional
Yup, I’m just FINE TOO!

@Lynnerizer @Star2236 @therealjrn A friend of mine once said "The F word for women is fine. As in, “you’re canceling our date to hang with your buddies? FINE.”

🩼

For sure! Getting mad or hurt… those words just flow and there’s NOBODY stopping me then!
@Lynnerizer @Star2236 @therealjrn I’ve read that swearing actually helps lessen pain for people, so I guess cuss away!

@Kyeh @Lynnerizer @Star2236

@Lynnerizer @Star2236 @therealjrn
OH NO!! @Kyeh is going to overdose on pain killer!!
@yakkoTDI No, if I cuss a lot I should need less, or so they say. If I do need pain meds, please hook me up to some nitrous oxide!
@Kyeh @Star2236 @therealjrn
Yes, I heard that too!

@Kyeh @yakkoTDI
Unless of course she goes for the nitrous!

No no no… She’s going to swear like a sailor and not need any pain meds!
@Kyeh @Lynnerizer @therealjrn
I have the worst gutter mouth
@Lynnerizer @Star2236 @therealjrn

@Kyeh @Lynnerizer @yakkoTDI Lol, you guys crack me up! You’re FINE!
/giphy Yes, we’re all geniuses!

@Kyeh @Lynnerizer
You got it right @ircon96
@ircon96 @Lynnerizer @yakkoTDI

OHHHHHH … duh.
Well, obviously ircon cusses more than I do!

@ircon96 @Kyeh @yakkoTDI
@Kyeh @Lynnerizer @yakkoTDI Lol, f#¢k, yeah, i do!
I blame growing up with a brother who was 6 years older. Otherwise, I’m an angelic naïf!
A bit rumbly, as I polished off a 2021 Mexican rice and beans MRE that had a 50% effective FRH just a few hours ago.
KuoH
@kuoh What is a 50% effective FRH pray tell?
TRJ
@kuoh @therealjrn The FRH is how the food in an MRE is heated. Steve can show you how.
@kuoh @yakkoTDI Thanks!
@therealjrn @yakkoTDI 50% is the difference between satisfyingly warm and cool on one side, cooler on the other. Should’ve remembered to add some salt first.
KuoH
@kuoh @therealjrn @yakkoTDI and printed in Korean, I think!

Elixir of the gods!
@earlyre Been there, done that, didn’t get the ribbon.
@cfg83 @earlyre My favorite part is waking up in the recovery room blasting all the excess air out of my gastrointestinal tract with the other patients. Giggles abound.

@earlyre @therealjrn It’s a language unto itself.
@cfg83 @therealjrn no real excess air… i guess my guy does it a bit differently?( this was my first)

@earlyre @therealjrn Wow, 15 minutes? Maybe mine was the same, but I thought it was longer, not that I was checking my watch.
@cfg83 @earlyre Yeah, maybe, but I spent at least 15 minutes in the recovery room alone. Probably more like 20. I guess it depends on the procedure and what drugs were used.
@earlyre

Hopefully you had good results and you can relax for another 10 years!
@Lynnerizer perfect results actually!
@earlyre

Excellent!

Your T-shirt… That’s cute!
Propofol… I’ve always just called it the GOOD STUFF!
@cfg83 @chienfou @earlyre @Lynnerizer @therealjrn I love the shirt, so appropriate.

AND “milk of amnesia”
